The Issue exists still Launch on January, 15th. Its a shame and extremely frustrating. I feel me like a Beta-Tester.

It feels like we are all beta testers. Maybe they should've of done an open beta for the game a month or two before launch because this game is fun and all but there is so many bugs and unfinished content that it ruins a lot of people's first impressions of the game.

After completing an episode, it shows my records under driving record the way you’d expect. Playtime, medals, everything. The moment that I finished an episode AND restart the game, it’s all wiped and back to zero's.

They need a manual save button in the game so people have the chance to save the game if there is a bug like this going around. I know if all my stats got reset after every episode I wouldn't be too happy. Hopefully they post a patch fixing this issue soon.

That is very strange. After completing an episode what does it say when you check your driving record?

I am playing on Xbox One X and I still haven't ran into this issue. Does it only happen when hard resetting the xbox or just whenever you quit the game and come back on?

My favorite car in The Grand Tour Game would have to be the Ferrari 488 that they couldn't even show the lap time of.

My favorite car mentioned on the show would have to be the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio.

I haven't tried this race yet, but... Does the camera control stick allow you to change the camera angle back to the front?

Nope you just have to look at the mini map and pray.

posted a message on Which is your favourite challenge in The Columbia Special?

I enjoyed all the scenes but my favorite scenes will have to be the bridge one and the volcano race because they were easy to win but if you put the pedal down and applied more POWWWEERR than they become very challenging and when you complete them you get a good sense of accomplishment.

For now you could always start tracking people's best times and compare with everyone else in the forums. Worth starting a thread for that in General.

Lay down your best times and see if anyone can beat them Cool

Not a bad idea. I will try that out. Is there a way to look back at your quickest time on each track or do you have to take an image at the end of the race?

Nice job! Like I said earlier, once you get the track down it becomes reasonably easy.

posted a message on Instructions for the game

If you go to the main menu it should have the controls in the settings if not when you start a race it tells you the controls in the loading screen just take a picture of them. Singleplayer is where you can find the episodes to start playing through an episode just click on the episode and hit start scene (or something like that). Splitscreen is just multiplayer so you can play with your friends. This game doesn't have online pvp (player vs player).

The challenges in the scenes in singleplayer change throughout each scene (ex: you will race against Hammond in one scene than in the next scene you will be taking a picture of a turkey.) Some of these challenges can be difficult so take your time. If you don't know what button to hit during some of the scenes it will tell you which button you need to use somewhere on the screen.

In Splitscreen you are just racing against ai or your friends. If you hit a silver balloon than you will get an ability which can be used to slow down your opponents or to give yourself an advantage over them. Also when starting the race, in the loading screen look towards the bottom of the screen and it will give you helpful tips.

Tips: The drift button can help you get around tight corners without hitting the brakes as hard. Trial and error is a big thing to learn from in the Singleplayer scenes so be patient. Use racing lines like an F1 driver (ex: go wide on the straight before turning sharply into a tight corner.)

Here is a photo of the ps4 controls if you're playing on xbox the buttons are in the same places as they are in this photo. Hopefully some of this will help you start out. This game is very easy to get use to after 10-20 minutes of playing through singleplayer.

I would also like to see this feature in the game but it can be used to get the achievements faster which some people might see as exploiting.

Horrible challenge design, I hope I won't have to do something similar ever again.

I wouldn't say it is a "horrible" idea but I do agree it is a bit confusing and maybe they can try to find a better way to implement it.

One of the admins/Eddy said: "That's part of the fun! Trying to get around some of those tight corners and overtaking other people." I agree that it does make for some more close quarters racing but I think there should be an option to race without them but at the moment that option is not in the game.
