I enjoy this game a lot but I find myself bored while waiting for the next episode to come out. I think online leaderoards will give us online competition without the pain of making online matches. I think there should be lap times for all the split screen tracks and there can be an online leaderboard in the main menu that states the track, driver's username, laptime, car used, date, etc. Than you can add weekly tournaments/events so everyone can compete and have something to do while waiting for the next episode to come out. I know I'm just thinking out-loud but I really do believe that this would add a lot to the game without having to add servers, and people will have a reason to come back and play the game in between seasons of The Grand Tour.
p.s. the image is from The Crew 2 just there as an example of an online leaderboard.
Just want to update this thread as I still would really like to have some form of online competition/engagements within the game so I can fill in the time between episodes. I think the leaderboard system is a very classic and easy way to introduce a form of online interactions within the game. Obviously I would love to be able to race against players in real time/have a online pvp mode but I understand that is a lot of work on top of making a episode dlc every week. Again I love the game so far and have enjoyed completing each episode I just would like to have some form of online competition introduced into the game someday. I'm thinking of taking up @ChrisP idea of starting a thread here on the forum of players best timed laps. Keep an eye out for that sometime in the near future.
This leaderboad will be for the Eboladrome using any car. This leaderboard thread will be in place until/if The Grand Tour Game developers can work out something for pvp competition in the game itself. If I get enough submissions and get approval from the forum moderators I will giveaway a $5-$10 amazon gift card to the 1st place holder for that month.
